Stefano Bastianon

Experience

Prof. Stefano Bastianon is a Full Professor of EU law  and EU sports law at the University of Bergamo, Italy. He is an attorney at law with extensive involvement in sports law, competition law, and European Union law and founding partners of the Law Firm Bastianon-Garavaglia. He provides judicial and extrajudicial assistance at national, European, and international levels. He is a member of the IVth Section of the Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport (High Court of Sports Justice) at the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and serves as an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne. Additionally, he participates actively in arbitration, litigation, and advising on commercial contracts, corporate insolvency, civil liability, and antitrust/competition law. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars both in Italy and abroad on subjects including competition law, sports law, and EU law.

Stefano Bastianon earned his law degree from the University of Milano and completed a Ph.D. in European Union law at the University of Bologna. He is currently a full professor of European Union law at the University of Bergamo, Faculty of Law.
