Guy Elms qualified as a Solicitor in England in 1991 and worked with Belmont & Lowe Solicitors in London from 1989 to 1994, handling residential conveyancing, wills, trusts, probate, forward tax planning, commercial conveyancing, and general commercial matters. He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1996 and subsequently worked with Kaplan & Stratton Advocates (1994-1996) and Archer & Wilcock Advocates (1996-2000), focusing on commercial conveyancing and private client matters.

In 2001, he joined the firm Raffman Elms & Virdee Advocates. At this firm, now known as Raffman Dhanji Elms & Virdee Advocates LLP, he serves as senior partner.
