Phillip lead the legal team in the high profile international commercial dispute between Malaysian and Indonesian interests, leading to the the Court of Final  Appeal's decision in Astro Nusantara International B.V. and Others v. PT Ayunda Prima Mitra and Others [2018] HKCFA 12, one of the seminal arbitration cases in the Asia region. Phillip is one of Asia’s most experienced arbitration practitioners, with a comprehensive knowledge of the Model Law and setting-aside / enforcement actions under the New York Convention.  He has been appointed as lead counsel in numerous arbitration proceedings (HKIAC, SIAC, ICC), has been appointed as arbitrator in over 35 disputes, and is admitted to various List/Panels.  He has conducted numerous mediations and adjudications, as both counsel and mediator/adjudicator.
