Gaurav Chhibber is a Partner in the Patents team at Chadha & Chadha, one of India’s leading intellectual property law firms. He began his IP career with the firm in 2012 as a patent associate, focusing on electronics, telecommunications, automotive and software. His work included drafting and prosecuting patent applications in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, neural networks, machine learning, multimedia devices, telecommunications, medical devices, automotive etc. He managed patent portfolios for various clients and handled matters under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

Gaurav has also earlier held the position of in-house counsel at Tata Motors Limited, managing patents, designs, and copyrights. During his tenure, he drafted, prosecuted patent applications spanning multiple technologies and championed initiatives to educate inventors and build a stronger IP culture within the organization.

With the explosive growth of artificial intelligence based inventions and their ubiquitous applications across the fields of chemistry, biotech, aerospace, defence and other verticals, Gaurav works closely with the domain specialists in these varying fields to expand his horizons and keep himself connected to the various domains the firm deals with on an ongoing basis.
