Konstantinos Bachxevanis is an English solicitor, Greek lawyer  and Master Mariner (Class B') whose practice centers on shipping disputes, with a particular emphasis on marine casualty matters, charterparty disputes, and related maritime claims. Experience

Konstantinos holds a longstanding track record in the field of shipping law, with more than 30 years of experience in shipping and over 20 years specifically in maritime claims. Before establishing his own practice in Piraeus, he qualified and worked in the Shipping Department of a leading international law firm in London for more than 12 years and spent a year in the firm’s Athens office, gaining exposure to cross-border maritime disputes and complex cargo and insurance matters. His career also spans frontline maritime roles, including service in the Greek Merchant Navy as a Deck Officer up to Chief Officer, and work as a cargo and nautical surveyor and claims handler representing hull & machinery underwriters and cargo interests. This blend of sea service and law is reflected in his ability to navigate both technical and legal dimensions of shipping disputes.

In addition to private practice, Konstantinos has experience across several maritime sectors, including salvage and wreck removal, general average, collision and allision disputes, and charterparty disputes. He has been involved in casualty response and investigation, marine insurance matters (hull, cargo, and mortgagee interest), and issues arising from pollution incidents.
