Steve Levitsky is an antitrust lawyer with more than 30 years experience at leading international firms like Shea & Gould, LeBoeuf Lamb (and Dewey & LeBoeuf), and DLA Piper. He has advised Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies on mergers, joint ventures, antitrust compliance, and antitrust counseling.

Steve has been included in antitrust “Super Lawyers” every year starting in 2002. He has won writing awards; written three books and over 75 articles; been extensively published in peer-reviewed journals; spoken at international antitrust conferences in New York, Washington, Chicago, Bermuda, Mumbai, Beijing, and Hong Kong; and is frequently quoted in the legal media.

He has led the antitrust clearances for over 200 transactions, including at least 15, each of which was over $10 billion. In one international merger valued at $16 billion, he supervised the global antitrust clearances in 75 countries. He also led several "3-to-2" mergers, as well as many disputed mergers involving second requests and complex econometric evidence. Industries include motion pictures, digital music, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, insurance, financial services, and others.

Steve has also litigated prominent antitrust cases, including the insurance antitrust litigation and pharmaceutical "pay-for-delay" cases, and was a member of the FTC v. Steris litigation team, which completely defeated the government's attempt to block an international merger.

Steve was the Winner of The Institute of Competition Law award for "Best General Antitrust Business Article." The judges for this award included Jon Leibowitz (then Chairman of the FTC); William Kovacic (former Chairman of the FTC); Alexander Italianer (European Commission’s Competition Directorate General); and Frédéric Jenny (Judge on the Supreme Court of France).
